In this Episode
Remember when a concert ticket was more than a QR code on your phone?
I recently found an envelope filled with old concert ticket stubs — and every damn one of them has a story attached to it.
Guns N’ Roses. Metallica. Van Halen. The Allman Brothers. George Thorogood. Anthrax. Pride & Glory. Mississippi Nights. Riverport Amphitheater. Shows I’d almost forgotten about until I started going through those old tickets.
This episode is about the concerts, the people I went with, standing in line to buy tickets, how ridiculously cheap some of these shows were — and one particularly unfortunate Van Halen story involving traffic, a cup, and an open car window. 😂
Concert tickets used to become souvenirs without us even realizing it. Years later, that little piece of cardboard can take you right back to a night you haven’t thought about in decades.
Do you still have your old concert ticket stubs? What’s the one ticket you’d never get rid of?
