I’ve mentioned on the podcast that I’ve been working on a book, but I’ve never really explained why.
I’m not famous. I’m not expecting to become a bestseller. Hell, I don’t even know if my own friends are going to buy the damn thing.
But that’s not why I’m doing it.
I started writing these stories back in 2018—growing up, friends, concerts, radio, traveling and all the crazy shit that’s happened along the way.
Then life happened, I put it away, and every year I told myself I’d eventually finish it. Eight years later, I finally did.
The first volume of I’m Leaving Right After This Drink: A Life in Stories, One Round at a Time is called Don’t Tell Mom. 😂
But this episode isn’t just about writing a book. Everybody has something they’ve been saying they’re going to do someday.
Write the book. Learn guitar. Take the trip. Start the business. Whatever your thing is.
Sometimes you just have to get off your ass and do it.
