Static X – Project Regeneration Vol 1
When my friend Tom sent me the email about checking out the new Static X record I was pretty stoked. Even though, I was not the biggest Static X fan over the years, but Wisconsin Death Trip kicked fucking ass. Over the years I enjoyed a few other tracks from the band, but not like Wisconsin Death Trip. When Wayne Static died in 2014, We knew this would be the end of the band. However, the enthusiasm and love for the band throughout the years from Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, Ken Jay, and the fans made this new record Project Regeneration Vol 1 possible.
With the new record the guys have utilized a creative combination of old material, previously recorded vocal tracks from Wayne himself that he recorded before his death. Along with some newly recorded riffs, and some amazing production from Ulrich Wild fans will love this record.
A few stand out tracks for me include “Hollow”, “Accelerate”, “My Destruction”, and “Dead Souls”.
“I’m really excited to finally get the record out to the fans. I know they’ve been waiting a long time for this, but I’m hoping once they get it, they’ll hear the love, sweat, and tears we put into it, and feel like we’ve done right by them, Wayne’s family, and Wayne’s memory.” – Tony Campos
